In order to love reading, you need access to many different types of books. This is something that not all of my students have access to. Due to lack of school funding, my classroom library is limited on books and most of my students will not have the opportunity to attend the school library. They are eager to read and deserve the opportunity to read books that are of interest. In this day and age of technology, students now more than ever need books that are engaging. This is why I need to build up my classroom library with multiple genres and subjects. Books are a window to the world! Most of my students do not leave the neighborhood they live in or have the opportunity to travel. Books allow them to travel all of the world and see points of view and culture without ever leaving their living room. Books allow them to dream about the future and the potential of what they can do to change the world. One book could change a student's life. Help me to invest in a classroom library that creates a love and passion for reading!
