My students are passionate about creating and especially enjoy opportunities to code. In the early stages of teaching STE(a)M and learning about connections between technology and design, it can be challenging to find ways to teach my students with the tools and funding available. With iPads, middle school students will be able to design their own video games! I am excited to teach a unit using the app Pixel Press Floors. I'd also like to try and use a few other apps with students in different grades to introduce the engineering and design process. There are so many apps available for iPads that allow students to think creatively and produce outstanding work. With two additional iPads in our library, our school will be closer to a "class set" that can be used not just by me, but also by teachers throughout the building.
