This school year has brought on new challenges for kids. Our 4th grade students from M. School are doing their last year at a local Community Church, which we call Campus, so they can social distance easier. At Campus there is not outdoor equipment for recess but other equipment provided. We want kids to move now more than ever. These fitness trackers would motivate most students to get their bodies moving. They would continually practice reading their steps in the thousands correctly. They could compare their steps with others . They could set goals and challenge each other, especially when many sports are not going on right now and we have competitive students. I teach special education and these fitness trackers would help with inclusion, friendships, and social skills as well as the class would all have one and no one would feel left out.
