My classroom consists of 20 bilingual/SPED students who need reading interventions in order to fully access the curriculum. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th graders whose reading levels are between kindergarten and fourth grade. I am constantly trying to find new books, new supplies, new ways of teaching in order to engage the students to the curriculum, and give them a love for reading. Whether they are reading poetry, graphic novels, or writing an essay, I want to make sure that all the students are learning, reaching their full potential and growing as readers. I want to make sure my classroom is their home away from home.

About my class
