Reading is fun, and, more importantly, it is a skill fundamental to my students' success. All of my students need to pass a high-stakes reading test, and at our high-needs, under-resourced school, this translates into a school environment that is very focused on test-taking skills and test performance. I started a Book Club this year to help students recognize that we can build fundamental reading skills and still have FUN!
