We are a classroom of first graders who love learning, kindness, and the occasional debate about which dinosaur is best (my heart belongs to brantos). My students come to me at various levels of readiness for first grade. We believe in the power of yet, and that if we work hard and grow our brains every day we can learn to do anything. I believe that technology such as tablets and the many kinds of software they provide, have the power to close learning gaps among students. There are so many programs that work to meet the student where they are and bring them higher. Moreover, students who have high abilities in reading and math can gain the support they need to find enriching materials for them as well.
