Today's students are absorbed in the fast-paced digital world of Internet blogging and text messaging. Their attention spans are shorter and among all of these distractions, their desire to read is pushed to the side. I teach 10th and 11th grade English and I am always disappointed when my students tell me that they hate to read. I feel that a part of the problem lies within the books that they have to choose from.

About my class
