I'm the 6-12 librarian at Peak to Peak. Seeing so many students, I'm able to work on a wide variety of projects. I teach research, information literacy , search techniques, and maker skills. I strive to make the library a welcoming space for all students, creating a space to discover personal passions and engage in scholarly inquiry. I teach research and information literacy skills in a gamified universe. This game creates a fun way for students to develop an understanding of difficult concepts. I also lead book club groups. With middle schoolers, I run two Battle of the Books teams (district champs last school year!). I also have two high school book club groups. The library makerspace engages K-12 students in STEAM activities. From product design to 3D printing to green screen videos, our whole community is developing new skills.
