As a first year special educator, my job is to teach children who struggle every day in all academic areas. These supplies will help me make hands-on activities for a variety of learning styles. Hands-on activities are a proven strategy to help students gain mastery of skills and a deeper understanding of concepts. Students who struggle should have access to materials that will help them shine. These materials will help them to take chances and enjoy learning. SnapWords will help my students develop a foundation by providing them with an extensive sight word vocabulary. Card stock will enable me to make colorful and vibrant hands-on games that will last. Finally, flashcards and sentence strips can be used across the curriculum in a variety of activities.
