I want my students to have the opportunity to write and reflect as much as possible. One of the best ways to do this is though a writer's journal. I want each student to have their own journal that they can use all year at school and home to become more analytical thinkers and better communicators through their writing. Anne Frank wrote in her diary that, "I want to write, but more than that, I want to bring out all kinds of things that lie buried deep in my heart." The journals and the flexible seating provide my writers with the tools and space to think, talk, share, and write about what is in their heart.

About my class
