At present, there is a limited amount of technology for students in my classroom. The goal is to improve it to 1:1, so as to allow for increased participation and creativity. This is essential for preparing students to be more competitive and successful in a 21st century world dominated by technology. One of the biggest struggles that I see in my classroom is students being able to focus during whole group instruction. Having an increased amount of technology will in turn increase student engagement and thus facilitate the learning process. Some examples of learning opportunities with Chromebooks include: access to online manipulatives, programs, and a variety of other web-based resources. Chromebooks also allow for additional differentiation for the diverse learners in my classroom.
