This project is asking for Runtz ball chairs. These will provide students with many new options of flexible seating. These chairs encourage movement while helping students stay on task. This will help them be more successful. My kindergarten students are always moving throughout the day. If you watch them trying to learn they are wiggling in their chairs. Why not encourage this by providing chairs that allow them to wiggle. These chairs also help them work on their balance which will help them in many ways. This project is my students idea because they are helping come up with ways to have more choices for seating. I asked them what kind of chairs they want and showed them some options. They loved the idea of having Runtz balls. The students thought that having chairs to help them move would help them learn They said the teacher would not have to tell them to sit still. My five year old students really need to have an environment that will help them achieve success and love school right from the start.
