Our students experienced a tremendous amount of loss last month within their own homes in our community from the historic flood that occurred in our city of Baton Rouge, LA. Our school received almost 5 feet of flood waters which has prompted our staff and students to be relocated to another campus. All of our books, school supplies, and specifically technology equipment was damaged. My students will benefit from the use of the tablets because it will allow them to individually to participate in class activities, learning games, respond to prompts, and questions on interactive resources such as Kahoot!, TenMarks, Khan Academy, etc.
