The students in my classroom learn in a variety of ways. Offering them flexible seating options will allow them to choose what type of seating works best for them. Some students thrive when working at their desk in a chair and others need to stand, wiggle or move. Through flexible seating options, students will have the opportunity to use a stability ball, bouncy chair band, seat cushion or wobble chair to complete their assignments. These different options will help them self-regulate their sensory needs and allow them to focus on their work. Giving students the option to make choices in their learning environment will promote a positive learning atmosphere and help support the diverse needs of my students.
