To learn about the world around them, students need opportunities to not only learn the science content alongside their peers, but also meaningful opportunities to explore concepts with hands-on experiments and activities. When students are allowed to create, explore, question, experiment, and collaborate, it deepens their level of understanding. This project will provide materials for several different hands-on experiences for our kindergarten through third grade students. When paired with rich classroom instruction, these opportunities will solidify science concepts and increase student motivation and engagement. For some students, these experiences will be what causes them to fall in love with science and learning about the world around them.

About my class
