My project is to provide comfortable seating in my classroom as well as sensory therapy manipulatives for my students. The students in my classroom would love the opportunity to sit low to the floor as well as have a comfortable spot to sit and read a book. Sensory therapy is important for my students. Having equipment like a stress ball or fidget can help calm or decrease their anxiety/anger. Sensory Therapy sand is helpful for students so they can calm themselves which betters their ability to learn. Without these things my students are required to sit in a stiff desk and don’t have much freedom to move around because we don’t have other seating options.
