The guided reading books that I am asking for will be used to develop a passion for reading. The books will be used in the classroom, small groups, independent reading time and be taken home. Having a library full of books for students to choose from will create an opportunity for students to be prepared for their futures. The books will be used in third through fifth grade and be used in nine different classrooms. These books will also be used in a before school reading program were older students read to younger students. Students who participate in the before school program will receive some of these books to take home and keep.
