These magazine subscriptions will help make a difference in these students lives by showing them what is going on in the world around them, not just the negative images portrayed from local news stations. It will give them something to look forward to as we receive new issues. By using a print resource students will be able to experience learning outside of a textbook and experience reading outside of the ELA classroom. These subscriptions will also serve as mentor texts for students when it comes to informational writing in science and social studies - one of the focus in our classroom.

About my class
