First and second graders are blossoming as readers. They tear through books and climb through the levels as quickly as you can imagine! By supplying my classroom with book bins, you are giving my students necessary tools to keep their instruction individualized and helping me to meet each child's needs specifically. First and second graders are also innately social, energetic, and excited. Because of this, we need a space in which to practice social learning each day, and a morning meeting rug would provide this for us! In addition to giving us a place to host morning meeting, this rug would provide students with a fun place to work individually, collaboratively, and increases their options for classroom seating.
