These materials will provide flexibility and choice for my students' learning. Research shows that students can focus better when they have more choice as to where they are working. Flexible seating will also provide my students with increased independence as they learn to make choices that support their learning. Third grade is a big year in terms of independence. My students are becoming big kids! By giving them more choice in where they sit, this helps them build independence. This also helps them to see that they are in charge of their learning. I can not wait to see the independence that comes from this project!
