In our class, we have no P.E. equipment! We are constantly borrowing. Having our own equipment will provide so many opportunities to learn a new sport, build team spirit, practice sportsmanship, and stay physically fit. When I asked my students to write one thing they hoped to do this year, one student's response was, "Learn how to play soccer." Another students wrote, "Go outside and play P.E. with my friends." We need need basketballs, soccer balls, and footballs.This equipment will give my students the opportunity to build self-esteem! Many of the students are not part of any extracurricular activities, and they struggle with social skills. This would be their opportunity to build relationships with others, practice social skills, and feel a sense of community.
