The Pre-K classroom consist of both students with Special needs and Typical students. The age range of the student are 3 to 5 years old. The Typical students are considered Role Models that are there to help to guide and to be little leaders in the classroom for the Special Population to follow. They are great little helpers and the environment is set up for all student to grow and learn. This is a great program which assist students with special needs the safe and structured setting that is needed to learn. The students with an Individual Educational Plan can learn and observe the social skills behaviors and communication skills from the growing typical student population. The general student population and all the students included in the classroom can learn the letters of the alphabet, number recognition, phonemic awareness and color identification and writing skills. These are some of the pre-k learning goals.
