I am asking for knives, 3D Printer resin, RTV Molding kits, fourteen Revell Plastic model kits, and paint. These materials will allow my students to explore future careers in building Models for both the Entertainment Industry, but also directly as they would for Engineering and Architectural applications. Development of hands-on skills does help promote brain functions, but also, can give students a glimpse into future career choices. Many people think that Computer Generated Images have totally replaced the use of Models in movies but that is just one of the things this class hopes to show is not true. In fact the use of models is still a solid part of the professional world. In addition I plan to also educate my students on related hobbies like building Model Railroad layouts.
