The materials in the grant will allow my students to implement a recycling club on our campus. I hope the materials will motivate all students and teachers to be more thoughtful with their choices. The classroom bins will be monitored by my students. We will save items that can be recycled for money to generate funds for special programs, needed materials, or activities. The recycling club will also explore the importance of recycling and the positive impact they can have on the world. We will keep track of how much recycling they have collected so the students will see how much they have accomplished. Using the iPad, we, the students, will generate their own Google Slides and Sheets. They will use the segregated classroom bins to expedite the sorting process. I will have the students share their knowledge with the campus by having them make informational posters and by doing short presentations. I hope the recycling club will inspire students to become more involved with their community. I believe the students will feel inspired by the work they are doing and hopefully, will find a passion that could one day turn into a career.
