Our need for lap desks is two fold. Kids learn in all different ways and I believe that lap desks will help them reach their fullest learning potential. I am hoping that the lap desks facilitate student based learning and assist in creating a classroom community. They will be able to choose where they sit in the classroom to complete their work; which is giving them more say in their education. The other side of our need for lap desks is that we simply do not have room in our classroom! Kids are constantly bumping into each other and getting frustrated with their lack of personal space.

About my class
