My students perform in the lower academic section of their grade. Students in my room need extra hands-on help in areas of literacy, math, and behavior. My hard working students need a little bit of extra wiggle room throughout the classroom, with opportunities to have movement and flexible seating options while they are learning. With this project I hope to be able to purchase materials such as Wobble Chairs and beanbags for my students to have a different seating option while they work in the classroom. Wobble chairs will allow those students who just can't seem to sit still some sort other movement while they are learning in the classroom. This will help eliminate students needs to walk and wander around the classroom, causing less distractions during instructional time. Beanbags will be great incentives for students to sit in during reading time, or other individual work time with clipboard work. Overall these tools will be incredibly helpful in giving my students the flexibility they need in order to be successful in the classroom, and reach grade level in their academics.
