We all know that students are very active and can have a hard time sitting still. These flexible seating options give them a chance to move in a controlled way while they work. Research shows that flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. Flexible seating also allows students to feel empowered by giving them a little control over their environment and let them figure out how they learn best. I believe that flexible seating has a positive impact on behavior and learning. I hope to receive enough seats for my students to maximize the time we have for learning in order to get the most out of our day.
