My goal is to have a sensory corner in my classroom. This corner will be a designated space where my students can participate in organized sensory activities to make academic gains, work on their emotions, and learn social skills. There have been studies done that contribute to the thought that students learn better when they are engaged, having fun and working with their hands. Your donated materials combined with creative teaching strategies will create a positive learning environment in which my students will feel safe and ready to learn. Each and every child should be afforded to opportunity to work with such items such as these in their classroom. Help us get there!
