I am currently teaching a Chinese Bilingual kindergarten class. A majority of my students come from families that don't speak English and their parents have little knowledge of how kids get a good foundation for language learning. My students' critical moment for learning is the time when they are in the classroom. They learn through whole group instruction by the teacher, small group activities, and partner work as well. In order to engage every single students in different settings, I have to plan out various strategies and modification to meet the needs of different students every day. This is worth spending the time when I see that my students show joyful learning in the class.
