Students need to be exposed to various forms of language both through physical exposure to text, as well as hearing texts read to them. By having these iPad in the classroom, students will be able to listen to texts being read to them, along with being able to use instructional games to build fluency and letter sound recognition. Many of the students in the classroom have limited experience with written text, and do not have the resources at home to be exposed to written texts. Through using this resource students will be able to be exposed to different genres and forms of texts in order to aid in building their fluency and knowledge. By building their fluency they will achieve more in all content areas, as their ability to understand the content they are being presented, as well as, reading; thus making their academic achievement higher.
