Having this colorful rug, a CD player, and calming music CD's will help provide a welcoming and peaceful environment in my Health and Social and Emotional Learning class. The books I have chosen are based around social skills and emotions to support the students. I want to help my students learn to cope with the emotions and unique circumstances of being in a military family. Each class period when students enter, it would be great to have a rug for them to sit on and each have their own spot. A CD player and calming music CD's creates a peaceful environment. I want to have the Julia Cook books to help teach vital Social and Emotional Learning skills.
