I teach in an inner city school district and am feeling the impact of recent massive layoffs and budget cuts as I set up a classroom in my new school. Due to crowding, my classroom has recently been relocated to an alcove at the back of the library. I am a special education and literacy teacher with children from first to sixth grade who are struggling with academics. It doesn't matter where we learn, my students can learn to read anywhere with some guidance, some direct teaching, and your help!
