I wish to purchase year-long subscriptions to Scholastic News and Scholastic Writing for all 24 of my outstanding 5th grade students. We will utilize these subscriptions to tie into our social studies and English Language Arts lessons and to increase engagement in our writing lessons each month. I want to bring the world to my students by using Scholastic products to teach current events, explore common interests, and improve writing skills. I want my students to have access to Scholastic magazine’s high-quality content, just as I had as a student growing up in the 1980s. We will use these magazines for class discussions and assignments, and I will send them home with students every month.
