As all my students have special needs, we create individualized education plans for each student. Each student's plan is different but many include social stories and interactive books. Based on the age and needs of my students, these interactive books and social stories are essential to teaching routines, rules, social skills, and basic fundamental skills that they will need to have to be successful in a general education classroom. Velcro allows us to make social stories that we can use in the classroom for multiple students. Sensory items are also needed to allow focus in our classroom. These items will encourage maximum growth for years to come and be used for multiple students.
