In AVID, Tutorial group sessions are held twice a week. Each small group has one student presenter at a time. The easels will be used in those presentations when each student presents to his/her group each week. These tutorial sessions are vital to the support and success of all students. Critical thinking, listening, and speaking skills are developed and practiced in small group tutorials, team building activities, and games. A sense of community and belonging is inspired through challenging games and activities each week. The game Blokus is a fun way to challenge thinking and team work. This game is designed for four people. However, when it is used with four teams - good communication becomes the key!
