The Chromebook computers will allow my students to access engaging online literacy resources, including our new Language Arts Curriculum, StudySync, where they can read and annotate texts, collaborate with peers, and compose and publish their writing. Currently, we mostly rely upon photocopied texts and occasional access to the school's computer lab. Due to limited access to technology at school and home, students do not have the opportunity to practice the 21st century literacy skills that are necessary for college and career. These Chromebooks will be a vital tool for giving students access to authentic learning resources that will be essential in high school, college, and beyond.
