Hi ! My name is Taryn Friedman or Ms. Taryn to my students. I have been a teacher for over ten years and am currently working in New York City. My education in teaching began at SUNY Cortland, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I continued my journey to receive a Masters degree in Literacy at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. I enjoy being outdoors, photography and watching sports. My varied experiences and my continued professional development offer me multiple methods to support the varied learning styles in my classroom. I strive to create an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. My goal is that all of our students feel comfortable and independent. I believe that children learn best from experience and positive reinforcement. I also feel that giving children choices in everyday assignments and tasks give them a sense of community in the classroom.
