Greetings Potential Donors! Thank you for taking the time to visit my Donors Choose page and projects. I am a sixth year, urban elementary school teacher of English Language Learners (ELLs). I began my teaching career with Teach for America in Baltimore City Public Schools. I am currently continuing to teach ELLs in urban schools in and around Boston. This coming year I will be teaching at a Title I school where about half of students are considered economically disadvantaged. I will be teaching a group of about 20 ELLs- many of which are recently Newcomers to the United States. Some languages that my students speak include Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Punjabi, and Nepali. In addition to being English Language Learners, some of my students also have special education needs. Despite the challenges that they face my students are thrilled to learn as much as possible each and every day.
