At the middle school age, students are not exposed to recess and some of my students do not even have gym. The Bouncy Bands will help with that issue by allowing my students exert their energy by bouncing their feet while they are learning. This project will significantly help my students' succeed not only in 7th grade math but also in other classes. Research has shown that students are able to succeed not only in school but also in life when they are exposed to recess several times a day. With the Bouncy Bands, my students will at least have a "recess" 60 minutes out of the day due to the fact that they can release their energy and make the learning environment more appealing.
