In my 4 years of teaching Gifted Education, I’ve seen many curricula focuses and ideologies about what we should teach come and go, but the use of robotics and coding in the classroom has proven to be a consistent and critical way to teach and move students into the 21st Century and develop skills needed to prepare them to be valuable members of the community and job market both locally and globally. "Whether we're fighting climate change or going to space, everything is moved forward by computers, and we don't have enough people who can code. Teaching young people to code early on can help build skills and confidence and energize the classroom with learning-by-doing opportunities."
