All of our students want to learn using technology. Our classes only have desktop computers. Most of the students are not able to use the desktops because they can’t grasp the concepts of using the mouse. In class, the tablets will provide the opportunity for the kids to learn using technology in the classroom, comfortably. This helps them with the basic education skills like reading, math, and science. It also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. Tablets are great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable and learn in a different way. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom but school-wide as well. The tablets would be used to read stories for students that have a reading weakness. Students would be able to independently watch social skills videos of their choice to help build a solid foundation to communicate with others. This will also help each student independently learn at their own pace.
