These materials will help my students get the most out of our new Teachers College reading and writing program. The chart paper will help me to clearly model strategies and engage in shared reading and writing experiences. The chart paper will also serve as an additional writing tool for students as we create anchor charts throughout our units of study. Having these charts available and easily accessible will help the students become more independent, self-succedent readers and writers. The paper trays will make our writing center organized and easily accessible for my differentiated paper choices. My students will also need book baggies to keep their "just right books". Having these book baggies will make them independent readers and make "book shopping" more fun. The small, magnetic erasers will allow students to try out different reading and writing strategies on dry-erase boards during whole group and small-group instruction.
