Students will be filmed during rehearsals and concerts. By being able to film the students they will be able to see their performance both in and outside of class. This helps students make corrections quicker because they can both see and hear what is happening. It will help students that are visual learners see what they are doing and help them to fix their mistakes. In the end, it will help students be successful in choir! The camcorder will help make students accountable for their own work, so that they will be able to practice at home. I currently record myself singing for the students practice at home. With our songs we also include motions; the students will be able to practice the motions at home if we have a camcorder. The students also enjoy performing for the camera, so it will assist in preparing the students for an audience. Some students have a fear of singing for an audience, so being able to perform for the camera and the watch it back will help eliminate some of their fear. This camcorder will benefit many students learning.
