Over 200 Kindergarten through 4th grade students come to me for science class every day. We know that students learn more when they are involved with hands-on activities. STEM education is my teaching focus this year. Allowing my students more chances to design and build with various materials is important for them to learn problem solving skills that will ultimately help them succeed in life. We need magnetic building blocks, an interlocking building set, markers and other supplies. My students need these materials so their imaginations come alive, and they can explore engineering principals. Education budgets are being cut every year, and it gets more difficult to supply my classes with what they need. With the help of grants and donations, I know that my students will see a brighter world and a brighter future.
