The items in this project will provide my classroom with variety when it comes to seating. Flexible seating is taking the educational world by storm by taking students out of the traditional desk and letting them choose a space that is most conducive for their own learning The idea is that all of my students are individual learners, therefore, they learn in different environments. By implementing flexible seating I am giving each of my students a learning space that fits their needs. As of now, I have a few flexible seating options in my classroom, but this project will help me provide my students with more options. This past year I have noticed that some students prefer to sit in a beanbag or stretch out on a yoga mat. By helping my acquire the items on my list, I will be able to give my students more options to not only work individually but also to work in groups without the confinement or limitations that the traditional desk allows. By providing us with these items, my students will be able to learn more effectively, work in groups and ultimately, become better learners and collaborators for our future.
