My students are interested in new sports, ones they have not played before. Omnikin particularly appeals to my non-athletes who often feel inferior playing traditional sports with students who have played them for years. A new student asked me about playing Omnikin, since they had experienced at a previous school and said that all of the students loved it! Having a new sport levels the playing field for non-athletes, since it is new to all the students. It allows both regular and special education students to enjoy a game and work together. It will also allow some of my large classes (48 students) to all play at one time!
