Most of my students are at or below poverty level and do not have access to "kid" reading material at home. These Time and Scholastic magazines will allow my students to see and read about exciting things happening in the world around them. Some of my students come to school hungry for food but more often hungry for knowledge. They LOVE to see the new magazines sitting on the bookshelf and they race to finish their work in order to be the first to get a new magazine. These magazines will help build reading comprehension skills and provide many types of educational opportunities.
