Hello, my name is Ms. Staats and I teach at Washington High School in Washington, NC. This year will be my 23rd year of teaching. I have been primarily a Middle School Math and Science teacher, however recently I taken my "talents" to High School. I graduated from East Carolina with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and later went back and received my Master's in Math Education. I have been teaching at Washington High School since 2018 and love the school, staff, students, and community. In 2012 I was selected as the Teacher of the Year for my school, county, and region. I was one of nine teachers that were candidates for North Carolina teacher of the year. I look forward to using resources gained from donorschoose.org to improve my instruction and my students' overall classroom experiences.
