Our teachers each year host a healthy challenge. The challenge requires the teachers to walk so many steps a day and complete different exercises and workouts throughout the day. This year we have paired each teacher up with one student to complete the healthy challenge with. All of the teachers have fitbits, but we don't have any for the students. The fitbits will be used for the students to wear. As each teacher picks up their student for the daily mentor program, instead of sitting and talking with the student they will walk and talk and do small fun exercises and activities that will keep them moving. The hula hoops and tug-a-war are needed for the fun and exciting teacher-student challenge where it will be a fun way to battle against the students using creative ways to move.
