Thank you for reading about my project! I work in a Title I, low income school. We have many students who don't have support or consistency at home. They are not provided and taught the necessary routines and boundaries at home that provide them with important stability and situations to help them be successful. As a result, many of them don't have enough energy during the school day, experience emotional obstacles often, or they have attention challenges that impacts their learning. I have found that through a few alternative seating options, these students have been able to get some of what they need through additional sensory input and comfort to be able to be more productive. I hope to be able to provide more options for my students to help them feel successful with what works best for their challenges or their learning style.
